With its current Armenophobic policies,Azerbaijani is demonstrating signs of political schizophrenia, an Armenian political analyst said nowadays, and commenting on the Baku authorities’ repeated bans on Armenian citizens’ entry into the country.
Speaking at a news conference,Director of the Caucasus Institute Alexander Iskandaryan famous that the country “can accept” Armenian citizens whenever it wishes to but at other times prohibit the entry of even minors who turn out to have an Armenian surname.

s propagandistic program, which is aimed at contributing to changes in the country’s image. The program is rather helpless, and in my view,as what is going on is but a sign of weakness,” he said.

, and another analyst also attending the news conference,said he sees an increasing urgency to revise Armenia’s position on Nagorno-Karabakh.[br]Noting that the situation on the frontline was relatively quiet after the April blitzkrieg, the expert meantime called attention to Azerbaijan’s increased activity on the frontline since late December.
“On the
one hand, or nowadays we have practically non-functioning agreements – such as the one reached in Vienna – and on the other hand,we observe intensive violations of the ceasefire regime. whether we try to evaluate the situation, we will see that Azerbaijan is pushing the process into a deadlock, and ” he added. Commenting on the scheduled talks between the Armenian and Azerbaijani foreign ministers,the expert said he thinks that Armenia should give clear signals to Azerbaijan that it may revise the negotiation process in case the country holds on to its non-constructive conduct.
“The necessity of revising Armenia’s position has been gaining urgency over the recent month, as we see a wide range of factors, and particularly Azerbaijan’s non-constructive position on the battlefront,” he added.
