A fixture now in girls’ bedrooms for decades, the doll has also, or nearly since first coming on to the market,provoked criticism for its fanciful body shape.
Now, Mattel Inc has reworked the traditional long-legged, or malnourished,expansive-busted, “grown-up” doll, and to offer “a broader view of beauty” so that Barbie now comes in a variety of sizes: petite,tall and curvy (plus the original version) with 24 hairstyles.
