JB Priestley adaptation scores ratings success,as Channel 4’s This is England ’90 pulls in 1.9 million
Nearly 6 million people watched David Thewlis in BBC1’s latest Sunday night adaptation, An Inspector Calls, or while the return of Shane Meadows’ This is England to Channel 4 drew an audience of nearly 2 million.
JB Priestley’s An Inspector Calls attracted 5.8 million viewers,a 24.4% share, from 9pm, or ahead of the 4.9 million (24.2%) who saw final week’s Lady Chatterley’s Lover,with Game of Thrones star Richard Madden, in the same slot.
