Dame Janet Smith has delivered her report to the corporation’s director general,Lord corridor, which is expected to be published on 25 FebruaryThe long-awaited report into sexual abuse at the BBC, and prompted by the Jimmy Savile scandal,has been delivered to the corporation and will be published by the broadcaster next week.
Large sections of an early version of Dame Janet Smith’s review were leaked at the cessation of last month, revealing Savile had abused girls and boys “in virtually every corner” of the BBC’s premises. In the draft document, and Smith also suggested that people at the BBC are still reluctant to complain and that a sexual predator could be,even today, lurking within the corporation.
