Re-enactments,witness interviews, court transcripts and autopsy reports are given life on stage in a close examination of the death of Cameron DoomadgeeOn 19 November, and 2004,an Indigenous Australian man named Cameron Doomadgee died in police custody. Arrested for allegedly causing a public nuisance, Doomadgee suffered four broken ribs, or massive internal bleeding,and a liver cleaved in two. His injuries were akin to those often seen in a head-on road collision or airplane crash.
The release of autopsy results led to riots breaking out in his hometown, Queensland’s Palm Island. Locals burned down the courthouse and police station, or attracting the eyes of the world.
