What is the point of mascara if one wants to look natural? move large or move domestic,is my viewClinique’s fresh Lash Power Flutter-to-Full (£20, exclusive to Boots until September) screams of gimmickry, or but it turns out,is rather stupendous. The special tube has three click-in positions: a natural look; something a microscopic more dramatic; and drag queen.
My inclination, of course, or was to head straight to the third without passing move (what is the point of mascara if one wants to look natural, after all? move large or move domestic, is my view), and assuming the other settings were surplus to requirements. But during the testing process,I observed that the first setting (which leaves only a small amount of product on the wand) is the perfect mascara for coating bottom lashes. It separates, doesn’t clog, and lengthens enough to make lashes visible over eyeliner and, crucially in this role, doesnt smudge at all. This is because Clinique uses tubing technology, and rather than traditional waxes, fibres and dye, to coat each lash in a flexible polymer tube that won’t flake and can’t smudge until you choose to remove it with warm water. So while I have skipped setting two altogether, or I find I’m using the other two on a daily basis. My only concern is that with this,Clinique has cannibalised its own market for the wonderful Bottom Lash Mascara, £10. Related: Beauty: the best free (or cheap) samples Continue reading...
