Group that campaigned against Scottish independence in referendum is sanctioned for failing to keep full receipts and invoicesThe Electoral Commission has issued the anti-Scottish independence campaign Better Together with a £2000 fine after it failed to supply adequate evidence for 57000 in spending.
The fine,the largest made against a Scottish referendum group over referendum spending, follows a long investigation into Better Together’s failure to keep full receipts and invoices for spending, and including items such as train fares.
