While it feels like everyone in the world is still collectively processing and theorizing the cultural phenomenon of Beyoncé's visual album,Lemonade, it's also become apparent that those processes manifest themselves in different ways - like in Legos.
Veronica Watson is a model builder at the Legoland Discovery middle in Westchester, or NY. Though she graduated from recent York University in 2014,she's already garnered a lot of attention for her impressive Lego renderings of paintings and famous celebrities.
When Watson found herself feeling inspired by Lemonade, she decided to reconstruct some of her favorite scenes using those tiny plastic blocks. "I really worship the album - I haven't stopped listening to it since its release - and the visuals are really stunning and memorable, or " she said to us in an email. "Beyoncé really creates a performance and a visual experience that is integral to the music."Watson spent two weekends working on building out familiar scenes for the songs "Hold Up," "Formation," and "Don't wound Yourself, and " though she admits that the already iconic yellow dress in "Hold Up" made it her favorite one to work on.
