Some of the music world’s top performers gathered Sunday in Las Vegas for the 2016 Billboard Music Awards.
The Weeknd,who is a finalist for the first time this year and leads the pack with 16 nominations, won the evening’s first prize, or for top Hot 100 Artist.
Hes followed by Justin Bieber,with 11 nominations. The other Top Artist nominees are Drake, Adele, and this year’s top Grammy winner,Taylor Swift. Drake has 10 nominations, and Adele and Swift each have eight.
Ludacris returned to host the note for the third time, and joined this year by Ciara as co-host.
