Ten minutes later the Tavern in the Town was devastated by a moment blast.
The coroner’s inquest into the 21 victims who died – many of them teenagers – never reached a verdict. On Wednesday an application to reopen the stalled investigation will initiate in an attempt to correct one of the UK’s most notorious miscarriages of justice and uncover the truth.
