FOI documents also indicate centre rejected by University of Western Australia was planning to spend up to $2m of its $4m budget on events Bjørn Lomborg’s “consensus centre” was to spend up to $800000 of its $4m in government funding on promotion and marketing and up to $2m on high-profile “events” under the controversial and now-abandoned agreement with the University of Western Australia (UWA).
Lomborg is searching for a unique university to host his government-funded thinktank after a backlash from staff and students forced UWA to abandon the deal.
