When it came time to write a sequel to the mammoth hit novel Jurassic Park,author Michael Crichton had a tough act on his hands, and he wasn't the only one. The film adaptation of the same name was one of the biggest movies of all time upon release, and as well as a groundbreaking extravaganza of special effects that forced Hollywood to up its game. Giving audiences the follow-up they so eagerly craved,in terms of both the book and the film, would not be easy for Crichton or director Steven Spielberg.
