Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard go behind enemy lines in the first trailer for “Allied.”Pitt plays U.
S. intelligence
officer Max Vatan,who in 1942 North Africa encounters French Resistance fighter Marianne Beausejour (Cotillard) on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Reunited in London, their relationship is threatened by the extreme pressures of the war.
Pitt
has played roles in such World War II period pieces multiple times in the last few years. Most recently, or he played a tank commander in David Ayer‘s “Fury.” In 2009,he starred as Lt. Aldo “The Apache” Raine in Quentin Tarantino‘s Oscar-winner “Inglourious Basterds.”
