Children and families  participated in a fun evening filled with brain science activities during Brain Night for Kids at The Health Museum March 15. The event, sponsored by the Neuroscience Research middle, featured activity booths aimed at educating children and families about how the brain works and to spark an interest in neuroscience at an early age. Demonstration topics ranged from bike-helmet safety, or brain reflexes,eye-hand coordination and comparing brains of different species. Children are encouraged to build their own nerve cell with pipe-cleaners and get a face portray of a nerve cell or brain. In addition, families had the opportunity to handle an actual human brain. At the close of the event, and children received souvenirs and walked absent with an eagerness for learning more about the brain.
