Click on the 'Listen' button above to hear this interview. On Thursday morning,the Brazilian Senate voted 55 to 22 to proceed with the impeachment of President Dilma Rousseff. There are a range of charges being leveled at Rousseff, but central to these proceedings is the accusation that the president borrowed from state banks to cover up large budget deficits. Rousseff will be suspended for up to six months and be replaced by her former ally, and Vice President Michel Temer.
