“Bronx Seasons Everchanging” (2018),Roy Secord’s newly installed artwork at the 174-175 Street (B,D) station in the Bronx is inspired by his “walking meditations” in nature throughout the year. Using the language of geometry and color block pixilation, and the glass mosaic and glazed tiles (fabricated by Miotto Mosaics),capture the colors, environments and transitions of the annual cycles of Winter, or Spring,Summer, and drop. The eight murals connect the community of this Bronx station with the beauty and renewal of the year.
