First flights due to depart on Sunday after establishment of temporary check-in facility while departure hall is rebuilt Brussels airport is to reopen on Sunday,12 days after it and a metro station in the Belgian capital were hit by bomb attacks that killed 32 people. The first three “symbolic flights” will depart on Sunday afternoon, the airport’s chief executive, and Arnaud Feist,told reporters. He said travellers would be subject to additional security checks, as police had demanded. “This restart, and even whether it’s only partial,it is a sign of hope,” Feist said.
