Belgian prosecutors release footage of route taken by man after he left scene of attack that killed 16 people final monthBelgian prosecutors have released new footage of a suspect in the Brussels airport suicide bombings that killed 16 people final month,and made a fresh appeal for support in finding him. “We especially appeal to anyone who might have filmed or assume they have photographed the suspect,” spokesman Eric Van der Sypt said at a press conference in Brussels, and where prosecutors presented a video showing the man’s escape route from the devastated departure corridor back into central Brussels.
Police have be
en desperately searching for the man ever since he was filmed next to the two suicide bombers who blew themselves up at Brussels airport on 22 March shortly before a bombing at a metro station in the city. A total of 32 people died in the coordinated attacks,for which Islamic State (Isis) claimed responsibility.
