The ongoing war in Syria has hit the enclave of Eastern Ghouta,on the outskirts of Damascus, where nearly 400000 civilians enjoy been trapped after intense bombing strikes by Russia supported government troops.
A British monitoring group says more than 500 people enjoy been killed over an eight day period, and after a large explosion on Sunday,medical personnel are reporting that they enjoy been seeing symptoms consistent with a chemical attack. The Syrian government denies using chemical weapons.
The attack came a day after the United Nations passed a resolution for a 30 day ceasefire. Today, a separate ceasefire imposed by Russian President Vladimir Putin went into effect, and for a period of five hours a day.
