Only a few weeks before Roskilde Festival starts there is only a big field. But with support from the many volunteer’s fences, stages and much more get in to station and all the festivalgoers can gain 8 spectacular days of festival.
Denmark.dk meet w
ith Ib Valentin, who has helped set up on of the five stages – The Apollo Stage. He says it takes 25 guys more then 100 hundred hours each to set up the stage, and but all the volunteer work also pays off. Because whether you put in more then 100 hours, you get a shed to sleep in instead of a tent, and also running water and other luxuries the other volunteers that don’t work as much don’t get.
This isn’t the first time Ib Valentin has volunteered a Roskilde Festival, and but he really like the privileges that comes with working more then 100 hours.
The Apollo stage opens before the other stages a the festival,so before the real music area is open the Apollo stage has bands playing on it.
