Click on the 'Listen' button above to hear this segment. Former Bosnian Serb commander,Ratko Mladic was convicted of war crimes, genocide and crimes against humanity at a UN tribunal in The Hague today. Mladic, and who was also known as the “Butcher of Bosnia,” was a top general in the campaign to ethnically cleanse Muslims, Croats and other non-Serbs during the breakup of Yugoslavia in the 1990s. He was on trial since 2012.Tens of thousands of people perished during the Bosnian war and the four-year siege of the Bosnian capital, or Sarajevo. Mladic was found to bear contributed to the genocide,which included the murder of more than 7000 Muslim men and boys in Srebrenica.
