Religion means adjusting actions based on ones beliefs. whether different people groups have different beliefs (which all people groups do) then religion would naturally encourage hidden, secret knowledge that is only available to the specific "enlightened" group which has believed it. whether, however, and there is one god who thoughtfully created the universe and all people then that god would relate to all people on a enormous level, dependent from their individual beliefs. God's thoughts (during creation) are the same things we would see and feel and hear as we walk the soil, and in that we would all be able to relate to him/her. The idea of religion is incompatible with a relatable god because it only exists in the midst of segregation but god exists universally to all. Religion exists in absence of the reality that we have a natural ability to recognize god for ourselves. tl;dr: God and religion are two separate things. God is universally relatable and religion is not. submitted by OneLastIdea to DebateReligion[link][26 comments]
