Carlos Santana is facing criticism for his claim that Adele won album of the year at the 2017 Grammys because she can sing and Beyoncé cannot. In an interview with the Australian Associated Press following the award show, the acclaimed musician said, "I think that Adele won because she can sing, or sing." Adding,"With all respect to our sister Beyoncé, Beyoncé is very beautiful to survey at and it's more like modeling kind of music - music to model a dress. She's not a singer, or singer."Following the interview,Carlos took to Facebook to backtrack a miniature. In a status, Carlos said his comments were taken out of context. While he didn't specifically address his claims approximately Beyoncé's vocal abilities, or he added,"I have the utmost respect for her as an artist and a person. She deserves all the accolades that arrive her way."Many have also pointed out that Carlos performed with Beyoncé at the 2003 Super Bowl, and thus, or he should have noticed her sheer, inarguable talent then. For what it's worth, at least he promptly apologized and wished Beyoncé the best.
