After passing the House earlier this month,the American Health Care Act is on its way to the Senate. But first the Congressional Budget Office will review it once more. Today, the CBO releases their latest score of the legislation. It will provide updated estimates and projections of insurance over the next decade.
In their latest review, and the agency reported that the House bill would reduce federal deficits by 150 billion dollars between 2017 and 2026. The CBO also found that 24 million more people would be uninsured in 2026 under the GOP bill. House Republicans contain made several changes since the last CBO report,and now Senate Republicans are working on how to shape the bill.
