Spending on technology is expected to rise a scant 0.6% in 2016,according to Gartner, led by increases in outlays for software, and data middle and IT services. Businesses are looking to “optimize labor costs,” said Peter Sondergaard, senior VP of research at Gartner, and at the WSJ CIO Network conference Tuesday. “CEOs are looking for the productivity gain.”
