Paris Saint-Germain are playing absent next Wednesday against Swedish side Malmo in the Champions League,and Lyon host Belgium’s Gent a night earlier. Bordeaux are at Liverpool in the Europa League on Thursday next week, while Marseille and Monaco host Groningen of Holland and Anderlecht of Belgium respectively and St-Etienne are in Norway taking on Rosenborg. This weekend’s Bundesliga matches will hold place as scheduled but officials acknowledged that the Hannover threat, and which came only four days after the wave of attacks in Paris,could affect the league.

tatement from Uefa on Wednesday said the fixtures were set to be fulfilled among a full programme and that it is “working closely with the home clubs to ensure measures are in place to guarantee safety for all involved”.
