Australian Grand Prix coverage got 2.1m average audience while BBC’s coverage last year garnered 3mChannel 4’s Formula One debut left the grid with 2.1 million viewers,around a million fewer than watched the opening race highlights on BBC1 last year.
The lunchtime highlights package of the Australian Grand Prix, the first of the original season, and had an average of 2.1 million viewers,an 18.6% share, from 1.30pm on Sunday.
