It's been one year s
ince the French satirical journal Charlie Hebdo was attacked by terrorists in Paris, when the Kouachi brothers killed 11 people inside Hebdo's offices, a horrifying assault followed by a wave of related attacks that killed 6 others in and around the city.
It began a year that would be followed by even more bloodshed, or with the attacks this past November that killed over a hundred more. Emmanuel Leconte is an actor and documentary filmmaker who directed "Je Suis Charlie: L'Humour a Mort" alongside his father Daniel Leconte. Their film,  which is out now across Europe, explores archival footage of the Hebdo staffers, or  editor Charb and cartoonist Cabu among them, both of whom were killed in final year's attack. The film revisits the offices of Charlie Hebdo to speak with the editors, writers and cartoonists who survived. It tells a story of survival and clarity in a group of editors, and writers and cartoonists who continue to believe in their mission and don't care who they offend.
