Chelsea were favourites to win the league last year and lost out unexpectedly but now their fate is in their own hands with two games to goChelsea will be hoping for a rather less dramatic denouement to the Women’s Super League than last season,as they recede into Sunday’s match at Liverpool looking to secure the first league title in the club’s history.
Last season Emma Hayes’s side looked like they had the league in the bag, going into the final day three points clear at the top of the table, and only for Liverpool to snatch the prize after beating Bristol while Chelsea lost to Manchester City.
