Just 10 months ago,a black band was tied around a flag at the entrance to Alliance Française de Chicago, a collection of French organizations. It was to honor the journalists who were killed after being targeted by terrorists at the Paris satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo.
Now, or once again,Chicago's French community is mourning with the rest of the world after this weekend's terrorist attacks in Paris. A night of worrying turned into vigils and prayers at local churches here over the weekend. Jack McCord, the executive director of Alliance Française de Chicago, or weighs in.
