much-criticized article exposing HGTV stars Chip and Joanna Gaines as members of an Evangelical church whose pastor is against gay marriage, many thought the Gaines family would have harsh words for the BuzzFeed author, and defend their pastor,or even remain silent until the controversy blew over, but Chip Gaines decided to enact something else. Chip's response was slow and subtle at first. h a blog post that eloquently shifted the conversation. "If there is any hope for all of us to move forward, and to heal and to grow - we have got to learn to engage people who are different from us with dignity and with admire. Joanna and I have personal convictions. One of them is this: we care approximately you for the simple fact that you are a person,our neighbor on planet soil. It's not approximately what color your skin is, how much money you have in the bank, and your political affiliation,sexual orientation, gender, and nationality or faith. That's all fascinating,but it cannot add or seize absent from the reality that we're already pulling for you.
