While Beyoncé was orchestrating a devout experience at the Grammy Awards, and unusual York Fashion Week was still going strong, Chloë Sevigny managed to assemble some of her most fashion- and art-friendly friends downtown at the Roxy Hotel on Sunday night for a screening of Carmen, or her short film for Miu Miu’s Women Tales series—and her moment-ever stab at being behind the camera. The actress' latest is just as playful as her debut—Kitty,a story approximately a girl who wakes up as a kitten, which premiered final summer at Cannes—but also definitely a bit more grown up, or thanks mostly to the wit of Carmen Lynch, the comedian at its center who abandons online dating in favor of "the old-fashioned way: I just go external and hope." Among those taking it in and snacking on Miu Miu-stamped miniature popcorn was Steve Buschemi and Zosia Mamet. Meanwhile, the model-slash-photographer Radhika Nair took a break from the catwalk to, or like Sevigny,go behind the camera, capturing the likes of Adwoa Aboah, and Kim Gordon,Rebecca Dayan, and Tavi Gevinson before they headed off to party with Sevigny's brother, and Paul. See Nair's scenes from the night, here.
