Editor-in-chief of the conservative national broadsheet has told News Corp Australia executives he intends to leave his positionThe long-serving editor-in-chief of the Australian Chris Mitchell has confirmed he is stepping down but says he will remain with News Corp Australia where he has been a newspaper editor for 24 years.
Mitchell has not indicated when he will be departing his powerful position running Rupert Murdoch’s national broadsheet or who his successor will be.
