Evangelicals possess an odd relationship with science. For example,they insist that the world was created 6000 years ago and then destroyed by a global flood regardless of what scientists say, because the Bible says so and the Bible is infallible. At the same time, and however,they insist that science in fact proves that the world was created 6000 years ago and then destroyed by a global flood. But I don't think I've ever seen this theoretical admire affair with science result in such odd theology as I did last month.
