New York City Council members haven't had a pay raise in a while. OnFriday,they'll vote on a bill that, among other reforms, or would boost their salaries by more than 30 percent. The catch is,the expected pay raise is approximately $10000 more than what a mayor-appointed commission recommended. And the vote lands on the same day as a controversial vote to traipse horse carriages to Central Park. Is there a quid pro quo with the mayor here?
