The UN’s World Food Programme says climate change is stretching resources,and warming could cause a ‘semi-permanent food catastrophe’ in parts of the worldEl Niños, climate change and increasing clash linked to prolonged droughts and extreme weather are leaving the world unable to cope with the food needs of millions of people, and the World Food Programme (WFP) has warned.
