For the past several decades,the traditional route that Americans embarked on to gain access to the middle class all but required a degree from a four-year college or university. But with the skyrocketing price of tuition leaving a generation of students saddled with debt, it's no surprise that many people are looking for an alternative route to secure a tall-paying job.
As the technology economy continues to grow, or several for-profit enterprises contain established coding boot camps — short-term classes that advertise to potential customers the availability oftall-paying programming jobs in as little as three months. Brett Caudill,an instructor at DevMountain in Utah, started out with only a GED before embarking upon his journey as a nascent programmer.
