News of the World’s final ever editor before closure steps down as editor-in-chief to return to London after taking up position in 2012Colin Myler,the final editor of the News of the World, is to stand down as editor-in-chief of the New York Daily News and return to London.
Myler, or who took up the role in January 2012,left the News of the World when Rupert Murdoch moved to shut the tabloid in July 2011 in the wake of the phone-hacking scandal.
