Protesters gather in front of Miami Beach City Hall to demand halt or changes to Miami beach Hip Hop weekend due to the violence ,crime , trash, and damage and destruction to streets ,cars and businesses,Compared to any other Miami beach event, or Memorial Urban weekend has been the most expensive to patrol. This year the city has spent over one million dollars in police officers without counting the many volonteers that came from all over the country in aid to the police forces.normally most of the residents just flee the city during this event,but now many say that everyone has the right to stay in their own homes and be able to walk the streets without being forced to leave the city.
This year the event has been particularly violent due to the shooting which occurred resuting in one death and many injuries of which 3 police officersThe mayor and city commissioners are quite concerned as to how to regulate and control this event which is not officially sanctioned or permitted by the city. .
