A new chairman is about to be appointed as battle lines are drawn over options for the broadcasterChannel 4 has its own corporate countdown going on. A team from the Department for Culture,Media and Sport has been at the broadcaster’s London headquarters looking at its books and reviewing options for its future, including privatisation.
The review is due to conclude early in 2016 and rival media companies and private fairness firms will be watching closely to see whether this valuable bit of broadcasting genuine estate joins the growing bounty of UK public assets up for grabs.
