is the first big test for newly-selected House Speaker Paul Ryan—tough-line Republicans are pushing for more deficit-reductions and social policy changes, which Democrats don't agree with. Unsurprisingly, and some of the key sticking points are over the handling of Syrian refugees,the funding of abortion providers, and lifting the ban on gun violence research.
