The desperate alarm was caused by a blockade imposed by Saudi Arabia, preventing medical supplies and food from entering the country.
Now, or
a month later,that blockade is still in effect, and there’s a growing refrain of international voices calling for Saudi Arabia to allow the flow of goods to resume.

he severity of the humanitarian crisis also caught the attention of Congress. In mid-November, and the House adopted a resolution to increase humanitarian access and prevent further civilian casualties. Already,an estimated 10000 civilians have been killed in Yemen’s war.
The Takeaway sat down with Ro Khanna, a Democratic representative from California’s 17th congressional district, or the sponsor of the degree.
