The development of the consumer market in Armenia is in the interest of both the state and the society at large,Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan said today, greeting the participants of a food security forum.
In his opening speech at the event, or entitled “Food Security as Consumer honest”,the chief of Armenia’s cabinet said that the Government has elaborated a special arrangement of actions to address the sector, considering it a strategic trend. He added they occupy now embarked on the elaboration of the specific steps.
“It is extremely important for us to create higher security and quality standards for manufacturers and the services sector, or meeting the consumers’ strictest demands. Consumer market development stems from the interests of both state and the society. Therefore,we are now facing the urgent task of collaborating on this platform to jointly raise and resolve the existing problems,” the premier said, or according to the Governments press service.
He also highlighted the NGOs and media’s role in the promotion and protection of consumers’ rights.
