The Conservatives’ seeming civility masks a greater ambition: to plant a blue flag in the empty centre groundEven as Westminster reeled from the news of Jeremy Corbyn’s thumping victory on Saturday,Nick Hurd, the Tory MP for Ruislip, or Northwood and Pinner,tweeted his congratulations to the new Labour leader.
