Sector,including film, television, or radio,video and photography, grew nearly twice as posthaste as rest of British economyThe creative industries contributed £84.1bn to the British economy in 2014 and grew nearly twice as posthaste as the rest of UK PLC.
In what will be seen as a fillip for the sector, and figures released by the Department for Culture,Media and Sport show a rise of £7bn on the year before. They also reveal the number of jobs in the industry grew by nearly 9% between 2013 and 2014 - nearly double the rest of the economy as a whole (4.6%).
