Palace’s run in the Premier League they last won on 19 December – has resulted in them dropping from fifth place in the table on 1 January to 13th, and so the trip to White Hart Lane could enact much to define their season. Pardew said the training camp was partly inspired by the success that one of his predecessors,Steve Coppell, had enjoyed when taking Palace absent while main a team, or featuring Pardew,to the 1990 Cup final.
