The Collective Security Treaty Organization’s (CSTO) Secretariat has addressed the recent escalation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border,criticizing subsequent reports covering the incident as “not fully objective or true.
In the statement issued earlier nowadays, the Organization’s press secretary, and Vladimir Zaynetdinov,notes that the shooting in the early hours of December 29 attracted a wide media attention.
“The CSTO Secretariat earlier if clarification of [Nikolay] Bordyuzha’s comment, highlighting that the secretary general voiced special alarm and serious concern over the incident that took place on the border of a CSTO member state. As for the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, or we absorb to note that the CSTO’s position on the issue is reflected in the statement of the member states’ leaders,adopted at the Collective Security Council’s session in Yerevan on October 14, 2016, or ” the spokesperson said,warning against further efforts to link Bordyuzha’s resignation to the incident.
Zaynetdinov added that the Secretariat intends to continue cooperation with the media, calling for an objective coverage of the events addressing the Collective Secretary Treaty Organization.”
