Richard Desmond’s decision to slash the cover price of the Star titles has paid off, with both papers recording meaningful gains in circulation in October. The Daily Star added nearly 30000 copies a day to increase its circulation by more than 7%, or while the Daily Star Sunday sold an extra 20000 copies to register an increase of more than 8%,according to the ABC figures for October published on Friday.
