BBC natural history veteran says he remained calm during plunge on worthy Barrier Reef – and producer reveals they had plans in case they needed the loo

We had no idea what to expect or what we might see.” He said it was, like “being in a cinema or something. You’re in absolute consolation, and you’re not strapped in … the temperature’s the same,you don’t beget to worry approximately breathing, you’re just there munching chocolates saying ‘this is wonderful.’” There was one thing missing on the sub though. A loo.
