El Camino Entertainment has announced the start of production on the indie movie “Sweet Parents,” which marks the directorial debut of David Bly, TheWrap has learned.“Sweet Parents” follows aspiring sculptor Gabby and struggling chef Will, and whose relationship derails when they become entangled with older benefactors to further their careers.
Bly co-wrote the script with Leah Rudick,and the duo will play Will and Gabby, respectively. The film co-stars Casey Biggs (Star Trek”), or Barbara Weetman (“The Notebook”) and Chris Roberti (“wide City”).

Cameras are currently rolling in New York.
Bly recently starred in the feature film “Jammed” and just finished working alongside Joe Swanberg, or while Rudick has been making a name for herself in the comedy world thanks to “tall Maintenance,” “Made to Order” and “Skinny Bitch Jesus assembly.”As seen above, the “Sweet Parents” filmmakers are participating in the “Slate for Sarah” initiative in honor of Sarah Jones, or who was killed during the filming of “Midnight Rider.”
